Necessary Dream Theatre Group will hold auditions for our maiden voyage, a rehearsed reading, Elyce Times One, by playwrights Jack Petersen and Juli Ocean. The production will be held at Kafe Kerouac, 2250 North High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43201, Friday, April 17th.
Auditions will be held Saturday March 28th 10am-11:30am and 3:45pm-5:45pm at the Martin Luther King branch (meeting room) of the Columbus Metropolitan Library 1600 East Long Street, Columbus, Ohio 43203.
The Artistic Director and Executive Producer will have all casting authority.
ABOUT ND THEATRE GROUP:
We set out to make classical works relevant and contemporary works accessible, taking a decidedly millennial, multimedia, multicultural approach to the oldest performing art known to man.
AUDITION DETAILS:
Actors of all ethnicities, shapes, and sizes should have a monologue prepared for your audition slot.
ELYCE PETERSON: A black female artist in her early 30’s. At the top of the play, her husband Jack has been dead for nearly a year.
DANNI LIEBERMAN: A friend to Elyce, and fellow artist. Danni is six years younger than Elyce, attractive, and insecure.
JOHN BAHYL: The assistant manager at Main Street Galleries, and Danni’s occasional lover. Any ethnicity.
MAX PETRÓV: A man in his late 50’s. Jack’s father. An opportunist and a bully. He has a slight Russian accent.
JACK PETERSON: A man in his early 30’s, thin, but otherwise nondescript. Jack is married to Elyce, and dead (seen only by Elyce).
Actors of color strongly encouraged to audition.
This project will provide revenue share.
