We set out to make classical works relevant and contemporary works accessible, taking a decidedly millennial, multimedia, multicultural approach to the oldest performing art known to man.

Actors of all ethnicities, shapes, and sizes should have a monologue prepared for your audition slot.

ELYCE PETERSON: A black female artist in her early 30’s. At the top of the play, her husband Jack has been dead for nearly a year.

DANNI LIEBERMAN: A friend to Elyce, and fellow artist. Danni is six years younger than Elyce, attractive, and insecure.

JOHN BAHYL: The assistant manager at Main Street Galleries, and Danni’s occasional lover. Any ethnicity.

MAX PETRÓV: A man in his late 50’s. Jack’s father. An opportunist and a bully. He has a slight Russian accent.

Standing Room Only Theatre Company and A&B Theatricals Present The Lost Traveler in the Multiverse!

Standing Room Only Theatre Company and A&B Theatricals presented their first rehearsed reading which will be staged in the Van Fleet Theatre of the Columbus Performing Arts Center, 549 Franklin Avenue, Columbus, OH 43215.

The Lost Traveler in the Multiverse tells the story of a physicist who works with String Theory, the notion that there are alternative universes wrapped within the one we consciously experience. This idea gradually emerges in the multiple possibilities that face the protagonist as he retires from his teaching position in a university physics department and begins to live through them. He embarks on adventures into other dimensions in a dream form that allows him to live all the possibilities.

All the roles are doubled with the exception of the protagonist. This comedy addresses the basic questions of identity and how the choices we make ultimately help to shape it. The Lost Traveler in the Multiverse is a world premiere production by Theatre Roundtable Award winning playwright Bill Cook and directed by Joe Bishara. The cast includes Ralph Scott (Retiring College Physics Professor), Josie Merkle (Ellen) and Mary Beth Griffith (Young Ellen).

The Lost Traveler in the Multiverse opens on January 9 and January 10, 2015.

Showtime’s are 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 9 and 8:00 p.m. Saturday, January 10.

Tickets for all shows are $6 available presale or $8 at the door. Tickets can be purchased
